This microscope is designed for professional grade viewing of a wide range of specimens. This microscope is manufactured with a rotating 2x - 4x objective lens made from premium ground optical glass. Used in conjunction with the 10x (20mm) stereo eyepieces, you can achieve magnifications of 20x to 40x right out of the box. We offer a range of optional eyepieces and objectives as well. An optional wide field 15x eyepieces, allows for extended viewing magnifications to 30x and 60x, and the optional 20x eyepieces, enables magnifications of 40x and 80x. Threaded auxiliary objective lenses are also available in .5x, 1.5x and 2x powers. The microscope head has a threaded trinocular imaging port that enables you to attach a CCD camera or a photo-tube eyepiece (available separately). This microscope has dual built-in infinitely variable halogen lighting. This enables you to make fine lighting adjustments from above and below the specimen. Spare halogen bulbs are included. This model has ergonomic features. The main microscope head swivels 360 degrees for viewing from any angle, and the head itself sits at a comfortable 45 degree incline.

The MIC-D is an all-new digital microscope for education and personal use that utilizes USB technology to produce a live image viewable on a computer monitor. It utilizes an inverted lens design so specimens of variable sizes and shapes can be viewed with little or no preparation, plus a rotatable lamp that enables the illumination of opaque specimens by reflected light.Besides being great for individual use, the MIC-D is also terrific in a classroom setting. Instead of individual observation through an ordinary eyepiece, live images can be viewed by many on a computer monitor via a simple USB connection, making the MIC-D an exceptional resource for classroom teaching. These and other digital images provided by the MIC-D can be quickly and easily processed as well, so users can store, print, edit, or discard their still images or post them on a website, attach them in e-mails, or include them in reports. The MIC-D also captures moving images and includes a time-lapse photography function. As an educational tool for today’s Internet generation, the MIC-D revolutionizes educational microscopy.
MIC-D does not use a series of fixed lenses, but rather one master lens that zooms at the large ratio of 12 to 1 (or 21x to 270x)
Images viewed with the MIC-D are captured directly to a computer via a USB connection. All functions of the MIC-D are easily handled by the software including capture, display, storage, editing, and processing of both still and moving images. Compatible with Microsoft Windows 98 SE, 2000, Me, and XP
